Poly Craft Industries Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of New Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Middletown
On Tuesday, May 12th, the Orange County Partnership proudly joined Poly Craft Industries (PCI), local officials, project partners, and members of the business community to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Poly Craft’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located at 36-60 Industrial Place in the City of Middletown.
The event marked a major milestone for both PCI and Orange County’s growing advanced manufacturing sector, featuring tours of the new 72,000-square-foot facility and the official unveiling of the Onyx Race Press in partnership with Uteco.
PCI, a leading manufacturer and printer in the flexible packaging industry, has made a significant investment in Orange County through the development of this new facility, further strengthening the region’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and industrial growth.
Orange County Partnership President & CEO, Conor Eckert, emceed the ceremony and spoke about the continued momentum happening across Orange County as manufacturers increasingly choose the region for expansion and investment opportunities.
“This project is a great example of what can happen when the private and public sectors work together toward a common goal,” said Eckert. “Orange County continues to see strong activity across the manufacturing sector because companies recognize the value of our location, infrastructure, workforce, and ability to move projects forward.”
The Orange County Partnership worked closely alongside PCI throughout the attraction and development process, helping connect the company with local and state resources while supporting the project from groundbreaking through completion.
The Partnership would also like to thank Empire State Development, Orange County Government, the City of Middletown, and all of the project partners whose collaboration and support helped make this investment possible.
The City of Middletown’s Mayor Joseph DeStefano called the Poly Craft Industries’ grand opening “an exciting milestone for the City of Middletown and reflects the kind of strategic investment that strengthens our local economy.”
He said at the ribbon cutting that the expansion helps people earn a livelihood. “It’s not all about residential development. People need a place to work,” Mayor DeStefano said. “This is about 120 jobs, 171 construction jobs where they’re already planning an expansion. This gives people the ability to live with their families. There is very little environmental impact. Not too many communities can claim they’re putting these kinds of projects on the board.”
Projects like PCI continue to demonstrate the strength of Orange County’s manufacturing ecosystem and the growing demand for modern industrial facilities capable of supporting innovation, production, and high-quality job creation.
Congratulations again to the entire Poly Craft Industries team on this exciting achievement. We look forward to seeing their continued success and growth in Orange County, NY.
