MetalWyze (Project Stronghold) Advances in the City of Newburgh

MetalWyze, Inc., a metal coil and sheet processing manufacturer, is moving forward with plans to establish operations at 106 Pierces Road in the City of Newburgh and is currently seeking a PILOT agreement through the City of Newburgh IDA.

The project is expected to create 10+ full-time manufacturing jobs, with salaries ranging from approximately $50,000 to $150,000, along with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Additional workforce development partnerships are being explored with SUNY Orange and the Newburgh Free Academy CTE Center to build a strong local talent pipeline.

Beyond job creation, MetalWyze will strengthen the regional construction and manufacturing supply chain, supporting development projects across the City of Newburgh and Orange County.

The project also includes building rehabilitation and installation of advanced manufacturing equipment on the 5+ acre site.

At the Orange County Partnership, our mission is to unlock the potential of underutilized properties, transforming them into modern, high-quality manufacturing facilities that drive economic growth and create well-paying, long-term career opportunities. This project is a clear and compelling example of that commitment in action.

Historically, this building was used for last-mile distribution and warehousing. Through MetalWyze’s investment, it will be reimagined as a highly automated, advanced manufacturing facility that will bring innovation, economic growth, and sustainable career paths to the region.
