Choice Films Expands Operations to New State-of-the Art Production Facility in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY—The red-hot television and film production industry in Orange County continues to grow. The latest news comes from Choice Films Inc., which has relocated production operations from the former Anthony’s Pier 9 property in New Windsor to a new larger multi-purpose building on Bracken Road in Montgomery.

The Newburgh-headquartered company now offers more than 100,000 square feet of specialized infrastructure, including acoustical soundstages with 35-foot ceilings and clear spans, construction shops, scenic shop, costume shop and furnished production office space.
Choice Films’ new Montgomery space includes four soundproof stages (up to 20,000 square feet), 35-foot ceilings, two scenic shops, cafeterias and 8,000-square feet of office space.
The company offers state-of-the-art New York State Qualified Soundstage Facilities, that offer production companies a turn-key facility and highly-sought after New York State tax credits.
The Montgomery stages, which all feature 35-foot ceiling heights, are:
Choice Stage 1 is a 20,000-square-foot acoustical soundstage, drive on ready.
Choice Stage 2 is a 14,000-square-foot acoustical soundstage.
Choice Stage 3 is a 10,000-square-foot acoustical stage
Choice Stage 4 is a 9,000 -square-foot acoustical soundstage, drive on ready.
Choice Films also offers its Hope Studios Stage in Middletown, a 10,000-square-foot acoustical soundstage; that features a ceiling height of 21 feet. Hope Studios also offers more than 6,000 square feet of office space.
In addition, Choice Films also offers a wide variety of specialized shop space that includes:
Choice Shop 1 in Montgomery is a 11,000-square-foot shop.
Choice Shop 2 in Montgomery is a 8,500-square-foot shop.
Choice Shop 3 in Newburgh is a 10,000-square-foot shop.
Choice Shop 4 in Newburgh is a 15,000-square-foot shop.
Choice Shop Hope Studios in Middletown is a 5,000-square-foot shop.
It also offers 15,000-square-feet of office space at its Montgomery facility and 10,000-square-feet of office space at its Corwin Court complex in Newburgh.
Some of the many award-winning films and television productions that have filmed at Choice Films’ facilities include the Academy Award winner The Whale, Smile 2, White House Plumbers and the recently-released Four Seasons on Netflix.
As a NYS Qualified Production Facility (QPF) Choice Films’ facilities qualify for an additional 10% tax credit, bringing the total New York State tax credit incentive to 40%.
