Resorts World Catskills Dealer School to be located in New Windsor

Learn about the requirements to become a dealer and sign up for dealer school training

Resorts World Catskills will begin operating a casino dealer school in Orange County in the coming weeks. The dealer school will be used to train people to enable them to apply for table games dealer positions at Resorts World Catskills. The school will be located in New Windsor. All table game classes will be free of charge.

In advance of the dealer school openings, Resorts World Catskills will hold an information session to provide details about the casino dealer school and for the manner in which interested individuals may register for classes. Resorts World Catskills expects to hire approximately 600 dealers prior to opening its doors to the public in March 20181.

The information session, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the following location and time.

People who register for the dealer school will be provided with 20 hours of training per week for a minimum of six weeks for core games such as blackjack, poker, baccarat and roulette. Additional training will be required for more complex games.

Once training is successfully completed, students can apply, and will have to interview and audition for table game dealer positions.

Anyone interested in becoming a table game dealer should attend the information session. Prior casino experience is not required. At the information sessions, Resorts World Catskills executives will be available to answer questions and provide detailed information about requirements and the process of becoming a dealer. Enrollment forms will be available on site for interested individuals to complete in order to be accepted and scheduled for dealer school training.
