We at Takasago are a global organization that maintains offices, production sites and R & D centers in 28 countries. In 2011 we faced a critical juncture where we had to either expand our current facility in the state of NJ to accommodate our growth or purchase and upfit a new facility in a new location. In the end, it made more sense to move our manufacturing and warehousing operation into a 130,000 square-foot building in Orange County, NY. The county’s incredible infrastructure and business friendly environment, swayed our decision.

Pratt & Whitney sees Orange County, the home of our aerospace turbine-coating plant Advanced Coating Technologies, as a valuable part of our global manufacturing network. This facility is a center of excellence for the coating of jet engine parts, a proprietary high-tech process of critical importance to Pratt & Whitney. Joining Orange County’s high-tech manufacturing cluster gives us local connections to a highly technically skilled workforce, and the incentives package we received allowed us to further invest $140 million in the area by expanding our facility. In addition, the availability of strong local suppliers further generates unique business advantages.
