The agribusiness industry accounts for nearly
one-fifth of the US gross national product and
employs close to one-fourth of the US labor
force.
Orange County has a rich heritage of agiculture
and farming and though in many ways the
model has changed and diversified it is still
today a vital force. Our goal is to join agricultural
companies and their business partners to stimulate
county-wide business growth in the food
and agricultural sector and to increase the number
and profitability of agribusiness companies,
the number of people employed by those companies,
the level of investment in agriculture
projects and ventures, and the viability and visibility
of agriculture in Orange County.
