The Orange County Partnership is a county-wide,
private, not-for-profit, economic development
agency that works to enhance the quality of life
in Orange County and increase our standard of
living by expanding the County’s tax base
and creating new and better-paying jobs. Economic
development professionals assist in site selection,
financing options including business and employment
incentives, market research, and locating sources
for technical assistance. Customers include new
and expanding commercial (non-retail) businesses.
As the economic development organization for
Orange County, the Orange County Partnership is
committed to bringing jobs and commercial diversity
to the County. Our mission is to increase the
County’s tax base by bringing strong, new
and expanding companies to Orange County and helping
those already here remain healthy and growing.
Our staff works with commercial real estate brokers,
developers, site selection firms, and our regional
and statewide economic development agencies to
find the most advantageous and cost-effective
locations for corporate attractions and expansions.

| For more than 20 years, the
Orange County Partnership has enhanced the quality
of life in Orange County, New York by attracting
new companies to our business community, while helping
those already here expand and remain healthy. We
are charged with marketing and selling this great
product called "Orange County" to prospective
businesses. This process includes ensuring that
once a business decides to make a home here, it
also has every reason to stay here.
In the mid-1980s, one of the County’s most
dynamic and innovative leaders approached a number
of prominent business leaders to initiate our
private, not-for-profit organization. These community-minded
visionaries sought to create an economic development
organization that would incorporate the voice
of community business in decision-making. Who
better to tout the benefits of doing business
in Orange County to new companies than those successful
companies already succeeding here? This vision
still stands – much of our annual funding
stems from the private sector, giving our businesses
an equal voice in economic growth and development.
Our unique partnership between the business community
and government is one of the core contributors
to our success. We work closely with the Orange
County Government, the Orange County Industrial
Development Agency, Empire State Development,
local municipalities, and the Orange County Chamber
of Commerce to ensure that each company we work
with is satisfied from start to finish. Our Partnership,
with over 140 local businesses, creates new business
opportunity and a healthy, open business environment.
